Yannai Kranzler
Yannai lives in Jerusalem with his wife, Chana, and their chubby friend and roommate, Seamus the cat. He currently does PR/Marketing work at Derech Hateva, a Jewish outdoor education project of the Society for the Protection of Nature in Israel (SPNI).
His passions include writing, hockey, playing music with Chana, sitting and reading. On their recently completed five month trek through Ireland, Scotland and Western US's PCT, Yannai rediscovered another passion of his: being outside, and living at a walking pace. Chana and Yannai had done lots of hiking before- endless multi-day Tiyulim, trips in the hills of our homeland, Israel, and a few two-week treks along the Appalachian Trail of the US's east coast. But this walk was infinitely greater than anything they had done before. They pray to one day do it again!

Born and raised in suburban New York. Graduated from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. Worked in the rough and tumble world of professional politics. Lived in Houston, TX. Worked for a Fortune 500 company, ExxonMobil Corporation for several years. Received Microsoft network certification (MCSE) and MBA while living in Houston. In 2005, moved to Israel. Officially made aliyah in 2006 with Nefesh B'Nefesh. Currently lives in the historic and conveniently located neighborhood of Nachlaot in Jerusalem.
