ABOUT US
Radiology Associates of Poughkeepsie, PLLC. (RAP), is a professional
radiology group consisting of six full time radiologists. All of
our radiologists have a broad background in general radiology. All
are fellowship trained.
Dr. Frank Starvaggi is a fellowship
trained Neuroradiologist and Director of Radiology Associates of
Poughkeepsie, PLLC. His medical training was at NYU Medical Center.
His Residency was performed at Long Island Jewish/Hillside Medical
Center in Queens, New York. This was followed by a two-year fellowship
in Neuroradiology at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital. Dr. Starvaggi,
in addition to board certification, has a certificate of additional
qualification in Neuroradiology.
Dr. Gary Grossman is an ABR certified
physician with added qualifications from the ABR in the subspecialty
of Vascular Interventional Radiology. Dr. Grossman is known widely
in the community as an accomplished interventional radiologist.
Dr. Grossman completed his fellowship at Mount Sinai Medical Center/NYU,
New York and is capable of performing even the most difficult interventional
studies. Dr. Grossman is also proficient in Echocardiography.
Dr. Herskowitz trained in radiology
at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in Manhattan and did a year
of sub-specialty training at the University of Massachusetts Medical
Center in Cross Sectional Imaging. Dr. Herskowitz specializes in
CT, MRI, ultrasound and mammography and has extensive experience
in image-guided biopsy procedures, including stereotactic breast
biopsy. Dr. Herskowitz is highly regarded by his colleagues, referring
physicians, patients and support staff.
Dr. Jonathan Crystal is a board-certified
radiologist with fellowship training in Vascular and Interventional
Radiology. Following medical training at New Jersey Medical School,
Dr. Crystal completed his Diagnostic Radiology Residency and Vascular
Interventional Fellowship at the Medical Center of Delaware. Dr.
Crystal is experienced in a wide range of vascular and interventional
procedures, including, percutaneous angioplasty, stenting, dialysis
access, embolizations, as well as GI and GU interventions. He is
also a highly regarded Body Imager.
Dr. Carl Silverio is a fellowship
trained board certified Neuro-radiologist who completed his diagnostic
radiology residency at the George Washington University Medical
Center in Washington, D.C. He has experience with Neuro-Interventional
procedures including myelograms, discograms and foraminal nerve
blocks. In addition Dr. Silverio has had additional training in
musculoskeletal radiology, particularly musculoskeletal MRI and
arthrography.
Dr. Anthony Caramico is a fellowship
trained Neuroradiologist. He completed his residency training at
the Medical Center of Delaware and fellowship at Thomas Jefferson
University Hospital. He has experience in cerebral angiography,
myelography, and CT angiography. Additionally he has experience
in MRI and CT imaging of the Brain, spine, head and neck.

Radiology Associates of Poughkeepsie, PLLC consists of highly trained
physicians. Our intention is to create good working relationships
with all hospital staff as well as our referring physicians. We
are delighted to provide a superior radiology service to St. Clare's
Hospital and help to bring the present level of service to new heights.
