About Us

Established in 1997, SalemGlobal started building websites before most digital agencies and web development shops were even born. Way back when HTML was all the rage and Google wasn’t even around, we were in the room when Yahoo! Excite and Alta Vista reigned the World Wide Web. Then the bubble burst and sites like pets [dot] com sort of lost a lot of money for their investors. Many in the industry jumped ship and declared that maybe the Internet wasn’t so great after all. Then this new search engine came onto the scene that took everyone by surprise. Their search results seemed to be more accurate than others and their brand name became a verb. Turns out, we just happened to be doing things like naming our pages, giving them descriptions and gettingĀ  other sites to link back to ours. Before we knew it, we were ranking at the top of the search engines for our keywords. Who knew? Basically we were were doing SEO and optimizing sites without even knowing it. Through the years, we picked up a few different tricks in the field of search engine optimization and developed our own proprietary methodologies.
